Hamrun and Pieta shared the spoils in a quite monotonous match. Pieta’ showed their intentions immediately with Licari winning a corner after dawdling slightly in the box but Hamrun were also looking lively in the first five minutes. On nine minutes, Pace was looking to go clear but a foul by Magri-Overand saw the resulting free kick by Jurilj lobbed to Licari who headed to IVAN WOODS who calmly headed home for a Pieta’ lead. Hamrun tried their best and their trials were successful when STEFAN SULTANA headed home a fine cross by Brincat. During secong half, both teams have several chances to score the advantage goal, but Pieta found precise Casha always ready to block while Hamrun were unlucky with 3 shots ending just wide.
