In a game that turned very interesting throughout the second  half, Hamrun were very unlucky to end empty-handed. Both Hamrun and B'kara had several regular players missing due to injuries with Charlo Magro and Gareth Bartolo being injured during the game.   Hamrun missed several chances during the first half and also some off-side decisions were harsh to help Birkirkara in taking the lead by a powerful shot  by the man of the match William Camenzuli, then Michael Galea Doubled with Mallia's header made them 3 just before the end of the first half.. The game looked finished but Hamrun dominated the Second half with some good play from Neville Galea, Mauro Brincat, Roderick Bajada and Nikolai Kirilov with Cesar Paiber always steady in defence.  Youngster Roderick Bajada scored a magnificent goal after rounding B'kara's defense following by an excellent free-kick converted  by Cesar Paiber. Hamrun tried their best to find the equaliser in the dying minutes but without success.
