Two goals in a 3-1 win over Marsaxlokk enabled Hamrun Spartans striker Stefan Sultana to establish a new record in the number of goals scored in top division football in Malta.
He is now the all-time top scorer with 174 goals. Tony Nicholl held the previous record which stood on 173 goals.
Sultana, who is now 34 years old, started his career with Hamrun Spartans in season 1983-84. After playing for 15 years with Hamrun, he moved on to Hibernians where he stayed for four years before moving back to his first love last season. The 174 goals were scored as follows:
